FAN CODE OF CONDUCT

At Midway Music Hall, great events are the heart of what we do. An important part of any great event is ensuring a safe, respectful and inclusive environment for our guests, artists and staff to experience.

We are committed to creating a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience for everyone. We ask that your conduct contribute to everyone’s enjoyment of the event, be legally appropriate, and not be offensive or abusive to others. For your safety and comfort, unacceptable conduct is subject to ejection and includes, but is not limited to, the following:

Use of foul, threatening, offensive or abusive language or gestures.
Discrimination, bullying or hate that harasses, victimizes, degrades, or intimidates an individual or group of individuals on the basis of religion, race, national origin, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender, age, ability, physical appearance or other.
Harassment, including unwelcome or hostile behavior, physical contact or sexual attention.
Fighting or any other type of violence.
Wearing or using clothing, signs, and banners which are offensive in nature.
Intoxication or impairment due to alcohol/cannabis or consumption of illegal substances.
Throwing objects or interfering with the progress of the event.
Being in possession of alcohol not purchased inside the venue.
Being a minor in possession of alcohol or providing a minor with alcohol.
Being in possession of weapons, illegal substances or any other prohibited items.
Smoking (including e-cigarettes, personal vaporizers, and cannabis) inside the venue.
Unpermitted access and breaching perimeters to the venue/festival, VIP areas or other restricted areas.
Any other conduct that may be deemed by Midway Music Hall to be inappropriate or which may adversely affect the safety of persons or property, or disruption of the event.

Midway Music Hall will not tolerate any unsafe, offensive behavior that violates our Fan Code of Conduct. Failure to abide by this Code may result in ejection, suspension from entering any or all of our venues.

Each of us has a responsibility to report any act that goes against the values that we stand for. So, if you see something, say something. Report any safety concerns to our management team right away.

ALCOHOL

With our assortment of beer, spirits, wine and spirit-free options, our staff will do out very best to accommodate every beverage request.

ENTRY PROTOCOL

Midway Music Hall continues to work with public health authorities to ensure we are meeting or exceeding the latest public health guidance in Alberta. For specific entry requirements for concerts, please visit our EVENTS page.

DINING

Midway has partnered with Flat Boy Burgers to take care of you if you’re feeling hungry before, after, or during a show!

SMOKING

Midway Music Hall has a large, secure, outdoor designated area for smoking.

ACCESSIBLE SEATING

Midway Music Hall is wheelchair accessible.

SEATING

Please note that we are a GENERAL ADMISSION venue – which means that we are STANDING ROOM ONLY, unless the show is sold as fully seated event. NOTE: We do offer limited Premium Seating options that are available for purchase. For Premium Seating click here

RESTROOMS

Guest restrooms are located outside, behind the building and are marked “OUTHOUSE” – KIDDING! We have large guests restrooms located on both sides of the main floor.

PAYMENT

Midway Music Hall is an entirely cashless venue, and only major credit cards, debit cards, and mobile forms of payment will be accepted at all events.
Select points of sale at artist merchandise may still accept cash.

COAT CHECK

Midway Music Hall offers our guests coat check service featuring the state of the art Chexology System at $5 per coat.

PARKING

We have our very own, free parking lot right out front of our building. There is also street parking is available near the venue. We encourage the use rideshare, taxi services or having your mom drop you off as we have designated drop off and pick up points right outside the front doors.

AGE RESTRICTIONS

Midway Music Hall primarily operates as an 18+ venue. However, occasional, all-ages events are identified as such. Please refer to the calendar for specific information.

IDENTIFICATION

All guests are required to provide identification (ID). The primary piece is a government issued, photo ID (including foreign government issued) with name, picture and birth date; such as a driver’s licence or passport. A secondary ID that includes name and signature or picture; such as a credit card or student ID may also be required. An expired ID may be used as long as it proves the holder’s age. If door staff has any doubt about an ID, they may refuse entry. Photocopies or photographs (on phones) are not acceptable. Upon entry into the venue, your identification will be scanned in compliance with privacy laws for security purposes and to verify your age. This information gathered is for security measures only and will not be sold, or used for marketing of any kind. Your personal information collected is limited to name, age, photo, gender and first three letters of your postal code. If you are not involved in an incident at the venue your personal information will be permanently deleted within 90 days. Patronscan

BAGS & PROHIBITED ITEMS

For everyone’s safety, security and enjoyment, we ask you to only bring small clutches, belt bags, fanny-packs or bags that are clear (i.e. see-through) to allow us to safely and efficiently screen and welcome fans into the event. All event attendees and items will be subject to search when entering the venue. The following items are NOT permitted onsite: outside food and drink (including water), water bottles, glass containers, narcotics and drug paraphernalia, laser pointers, spray paint, glow sticks, selfie sticks, large banners, audio/video recording devices with detachable lenses, animals (with the exception of service animals), weapons of any kind, and any object that security/management deems unsafe.
